Sacque.
Row 1. Ch 80, dc in 4th st from hook, dc in each of next 11, 5 dc (corner) in next, dc in 14, corner, dc in 20, corner, dc in 14, corner, dc in 13, ch 1, turn.
NOTE: Take up back st only for entire pattern.
Row 2. Sc in each dc, 3 sc in center st of each corner. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3. Same as Row 2.
Row 4. Same as Row 2, except ch 3, turn.
Row 5. Dc in each st, 5 dc in center st of each corner.
Repeat rows 2, 3, 4, and 5 twice.
Repeat rows 2, 3, and 4 once more.
Row 17. Dc in 4, 2 dc in next, inc 1 dc in every 5th st across, catch corners of yoke tog for armhole by putting dc through both center sc's at once, continue across as for first part of row.
Work even in pattern as for yoke, until you have 4 more rows of dc.
For next row of dc inc 1 in every fifth st, and continue even in pattern until there are 4 more rows of dc. End with 3 sc rows.
Sleeve. Join yarn at underarm, and work even in pattern until sleeve measures 6 or 6 1/2 inches (56 sts). End with dc row.
Cuff. Sc in first, * sk 1, sc in next *, repeat around. Join. Work even 2 more rows sc, 1 row dc, and end with 3 rows sc. Fasten off.
Turn back trim for front of sacque: Sc in each sc, and sc in each dc from inside. 5 more rows sc, 1 row dc, end 4 rows sc. Turn so that dc row is in center of panel.
Bonnet: Begin at neckline. Row 1. Ch 75, dc in 4th st from hook and in each st across. (72 dc, with turning ch).
NOTE: All sc rows are worked even and 3 sc rows follow each dc row. Only dc rows are numbered!
Row 2. Ch 3, dc in 24, inc 1 dc in every 4th st 6 times, dc in next 25.
Row 3. Dc even
Row 4. Dc in 29, inc 1 dc in every second st 9 times, dc in last 30.
Row 5. Dc even.
Row 6. Dc in 24, inc 1 dc in every 4th st, dc in 25.
Row 7. Dc in 32, inc 1 dc in every 4th st, dc in 33.
Row 8. Dc in 21, * work 2 dc as one (yo, insert hook in first st, draw up lp, insert hook in next st, draw up lp, yo, through 2, yo, through 2), dc in each of 2 *, repeat * to * 15 times, dc in 19.
Row 9. Dc in 24, make 10 decreases with 2 dc between, dc in 25.
Row 10. Dc in 22, 7 decreases with 3 dc between, dc in 23.
Row 11. Dc in 26, 6 dec with 1 dc between, dc in 27.
Row 12. Dc in 25, 6 dec with no dc between, dc in 26. Make sc in 26.
One row sc even.
Fold and sc tog at top from under side. Fasten off.
Brim: Join yarn at end of starting ch, 1 sc in each sc, 1 sc in each dc across front from inside, work even in pattern until there are 4 dc rows, end with 3 rows sc. Fasten off.
Sc closely across starting chain from inside, sk every other st for 14 or 16 times at center back to draw to shape. Fasten off.
Bootee. Begin with sole. Ch 20.
Row 1. 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 15, 5 dc in next, 1 dc in each of next 15 down opposite side of ch, 2 dc in last, join to top of 3-ch.
Row 2. Ch 3, 2 dc in each of next 3, 1 dc in each of next 13, 2 dc in each of next 7, 1 dc in each of next 13, 2 dc in each of next 3, 1 dc in same st as 3-ch, join.
Row 3. Ch 3, (1 dc in next, 2 dc in next) 3 times, 1 dc in each of next 14, (2 dc in next, 1 dc in next) 7 times, 1 dc in each of next 13, (2 dc in next, 1 dc in next) 3 times, 1 dc in same st as 3-ch, join.
Row 4. Ch 1, sc around spoke of each dc, inserting hook from back, right to left, join. Ch 1, turn.
Row 5. Sc even
Row 6. Dc even
Rows 7, 8, and 9. Sc even
Row 10. Dc even.
Rows 11 and 12. Sc even. Fasten off.
Instep. Row 1. Beginning with first st to left of 3-ch in center back, count on left side of shoe to 27th st. Join yarn in this st, ch 3, dc in each of next 12, ch 1, turn. Work in pattern until there are 3 rows of dc.
Fasten instep in shoe as follows: Catch last lp on hook into 15th st from center back on right side of shoe (count 3-ch) and in instep piece toward you, sc it st for st to right side of shoe, 2 sc at corner, sc across toe, inserting hook from right to left under each of the original 13 sts of instep, 2 sc at corner, sc instep and shoe tog along left side, ending in 15th st from center back (do not count 3-ch).
Beading. With toe of shoe facing you, ch 4, * sk 1, dc in next, ch 1 *, repeat * to * across instep, and around shoe, ch 1, join to third st of ch 4 (22 dc, counting ch 4).
Top: Work in pattern, beginning with dc row until there are 3 rows dc. End with 3 rows sc. Fasten off.
For trim, add buttons in dc panels on brim of bonnet, turn back on sacque, and top of bootees, and edge panels with ruffled lace, if desired.
Insert ribbons for ties.
