Sacque: Begin at neck. Ch 68.
Row 1. Hdc in second st from hook, (sc in next, hdc in next) 5 times, (sc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, sc---corner) in next st, hdc in next, (sc in next, hdc in next) 4 times, corner, hdc in next, (sc in next, hdc in next) 11 times, corner, hdc in next, (sc in next, hdc in next) 4 times, corner, hdc in next, (sc in next, hdc in next) 5 times, ch 1, turn.
Row 2. Hdc in each hdc (through both lps), sc in back lp only of each sc, with corners as follows: Hdc under ch 1, ch 1, post dc around dc from front, ch 1, hdc under ch 1.
Row 3. Same as Row 2, except corners---sc under ch 1, ch 1, post dc around dc from back, ch 1, sc under ch 1.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until sleeve section measures 7 inches between post dc's.
On next row, work across front, sk sleeve section, work across back, sk sleeve section and continue across other front. Work in pattern on body until work measures 5 1/2 inches below underarm joining. Fasten off.
Sleeve. Join yarn at underarm, ch 1, work in pattern around, join with sl st to ch 1, ch 1, turn. Continue in pattern until sleeve measures 3 inches from underarm, then dec 1 st at beginning of each row 7 times and work even until sleeve measures 5 1/2 or 6 inches from underarm.
Cuff. Sc around for 3 rows (join, ch 1, turn at end of each row). Fasten off.
Border of Sacque. Row 1. With main color, join yarn at neckline of left front, sc in end of each row, 3 sc in corner, sc in each st across lower edge, 3 sc in corner, sc up right front to neckline, ch 1, turn.
Row 2. Sc in each sc, 3 sc in corners, ch 1, turn.
Row 3. Sc down left front, making buttonhole spaces at regular intervals by ch 2, sk 2. At lower end of left front, ch 1, turn, sc in each sc and each ch 1 to neckline, ch 1, turn.
Row 4. Sc down front, across lower edge and up right front. Fasten off.
Sew buttons to right front.
Collar. Join yarn at neckline of either front. Work in pattern around. Sk 1 st at each end of each row, make 3 sts in one place in center back, about third or fourth row. The inc will be either (hdc, sc, hdc) or (sc, hdc, sc) as needed to keep the pattern. Make the collar as wide as desired, and inc as necessary to make it lie flat.
Pocket Trim. Ch 16, make 3 rows sc. Edge using contrasting yarn. * Ch 1 (loosely), sl st in next st snugly, repeat from *.
Bonnet. Begin at lower edge of front. Ch 31.
Row 1. * Hdc in second st from hook, sc in next, repeat from *, ch 1, turn. (30 sts)
Row 2. * Sc in back lp of each sc, hdc in both lps of each hdc, ch 1, turn.
Row 3. Make 4 sts in pattern (front edge), ch 2, sk 2 for beading, continue across in pattern, ch 1, turn.
Row 4. Pattern across, sc in first st of ch 2, hdc in next.
Repeat Rows 3 and 4 15 times and Row 3 once more.
Ch 31 for back, sc in second st from hook, pattern across ch and continue across main section, ch 1, turn.
Work on 60 sts for 19 rows, keeping beading pattern at front, and ending at front.
Work on 30 sts until same number of rows as other front. Sew back to sides.
Brim. Join yarn at lower front corner, sc across front, ch 1, turn. Sc back across, and on third row increase every 10th st, work even in sc until brim is desired width. On last row, make 3 sc in corner st, work across lower edge of brim and bonnet, drawing center back section to shape by skipping every other sc. Make 1 more row sc across lower edge. Edge entire bonnet as for sacque.
Bootee. Sole. Row 1. Ch 8, 2 sc in second st from hook, 1 sc in each of next 5, 2 sc in last, ch 1, turn (9 sc).
Row 2. 2 sc in first, 1 sc in each of next 7, 2 sc in last (11 sc). Work 7 rows even in sc.
Row 10. Draw up lp in each of first 2 sts, yo, through 2 (decrease), sc across, working off last 2 sc as 1 as before (9 sc). Work 4 rows even.
Row 15. 2 sc in first, sc in each of 7, 2 sc in last (11 sc).
Row 16. 2 sc in first, sc in each of 9, 2 sc in last (13 sc). Work 6 rows even.
Row 23. Dec at each end of row as in row 10. Work 2 rows even.
Row 26. Same as Row 23 (9 sc).
Row 27. Work row even.
Row 28. Same as Row 23. Fasten off. (7 sc).
Top. Begin at center back. Ch 21.
Row 1. Hdc in second st from hook, * sc in next, hdc in next, repeat from *, end sc in last, ch 1, turn.
Row 2. Sc in back lp of each sc, hdc through both lps of hdc for 9 sts, ch 2, sk 2, hdc in next, sc in next, etc., end hdc.
Row 3. Pattern across, 1 sc and 1 hdc on ch 2, sc in next, etc.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you have 15 rows, ending at sole edge. Work pattern on 9 sts for 9 rows, ending at top edge. Ch 10,k catch last ch into 9th st of first short row made, and continue row to top (remember ch 2, sk 2 on each "up" row).
Work on 30 sts for 7 more rows, ending at sole edge. Work on 9 sts for 9 rows, join to 12th st from top, ch 2, sk 2, continue pattern to top. Work on 20 sts for 15 rows to correspond with other side.
Sew back seam, instep seams and sole from inside.
Make sc cuff at top as wide as desired, join, ch 1, turn at end of each row.
Add trim as for sacque and bonnet.
