Sacque: Begin at neck. With No 2 needles, cast on 72 sts, p 1 row.
Beading. K 1, * yo, k 2 tog, repeat from *.
Row 1. K 12, (yo, k 2, yo) for seam, k 8, seam, k 24, seam, k 8, seam, k 12. (Purl each row back.) K 13, seam, k 10, seam, k 26, seam, k 10, seam, k 13.
Continue in this pattern, inc 1 st at each side of each seam by k yo of pr, until you have 33-50-66-50-33 sts on k row. Purl 33, inc in yo st, and in each st of seam, place 50 on holder, inc in 3, purl 66, inc in 3, place 50 on holder, inc in 3, purl 33. Work in stockinette st for 2 inches, ending with p row.
Pattern: * P 4 rows, beg on right side.
Row 1. K 1, * yo, k 2 tog, repeat from *, end k 1.
Rows 2, 4, and 6. Purl
Row 3. K 2, * yo, k 2 tog, repeat from *.
Row 5. K 1, * k 2 tog, yo, repeat from *, end yo, k 1.
Purl 4 rows.
Change to No 3 needles. Work 2 stripes of pattern with 1/2 inch stockinette between, add 6 p rows (10 with 4 of pattern). Bind off.
Sleeve. Using No 2 needles. Stockinette on 50 sts for 2 inches, end with p row. Work one stripe of pattern, * k 2 tog, k 4, repeat from *, k 2 tog. Stockinette st for 1/2 inch. Make 1 more stripe of pattern. Work k 2, p 2 ribbing for 1/2 inch. Bind off in ribbing. Sew sleeve seams.
Bonnet. No 2 needles. Beg at center back, cast on 9 sts.
Row 1. Inc 1 in every st (18 sts). Purl all rows back.
Row 3. * K 1, inc in next, repeat from * (27 sts).
Row 5. * K 2, inc in next, repeat from * (36 sts).
Row 7. * K 3, inc in next, repeat from * (45 sts).
Continue in this pattern until 108 sts on needle. Stockinette st for 1/2 inch, end with p row. Bind off 5 at beg of next 2 rows (98 sts). * K 2, k 2 tog, repeat from * (74 sts). K 1 row.
Change to No 3 needles, work 2 stripes of pattern with 1/2 inch stockinette between, and add 6 more purl rows (10 with 4 of pattern). Bind off. Sew seam at back.
Neckband. With right side facing you, using No 2 needles, pick up 74 sts at neck edge, and work in k 2, p 2 ribbing for 1/2 inch. Bind off. Insert ribbon in lace stripe nearest front.
Bootee. With No 2 needles, cast on 49 sts. P 1 row. Work 1 stripe of pattern, add 1/2 inch stockinette st. Make beading. * K 1, yo k 2 tog, k 1, repeat from *. Purl 1 row, dec 1 st at end of row.
K 31 sts, turn, work stockinette over last 13 sts for 1 1/2 inches, end with purl row. Break yarn.
(Easiest to keep on 3 needles). With right side facing, join yarn at end of first 18 sts, pick up and knit 16 sts on right side of instep, with another needle k 13 from next needle, and with third needle, pick up and knit 16 on left side of instep and k 18 on same needle (71 sts). P 4 rows, work stockinette for 3/4 inch. P 4 rows. Bind off 34, k 13, bind off 34. Join yarn on center needle and k garter st sole, 54 rows. Bind off. Sew sole and back seams.
