Hardwood Floors and Outside of house

Mary Ellen Hansson, ISeeSpots Farm

We have 4 parakeets who live in a "heavy duty" cage in the dining room.  It is amazing how plants always look so much healthier in pictures than in real life.
This is a picture of the hardwood flooring we put in the bedroom.  This was the first room that was changed over to hardwood.  From here, we installed hardwood flooring down the hallway and out into the living room. The bedroom, as well as the hallway are both much more yellow than in real life.  The walls are off-white, or an egg shell color to give a perspective.
Our driveway gives you a great shot of the fence that was designed to keep the dogs inside.  We set the gated area back so both our truck/trailer as well as full sized school buses could turn around in the driveway without need of opening the gate.  We have been quite pleased.
Inside the gate (from the driveway perspective), is a picture of the front porch we added a couple years ago.  A maple tree was planted (to the right beside the stake), and our kiwi vines are seen to the left (covering an arbor over the end of the walkway).
Here is a shot of the back of the house.  The bed beside the house contains mints, sage, and red currant bushes.  The area on the far side of the wooden steps is filled with black and red raspberry bushes.

Penny, the brown and white border collie, seems to get into every picture!

The sheep shed is the building on the far right.

This shows a picture of the other side of the back of our house.  We added a deck a year before the front deck at the same time we turned the screened in porch into an insulated room for Ian.

I planted a couple kiwi vines around this arbor as was done in the front, but they have not done as well as those in the front.

The south side of the house has another bricked-up flower bed that has kept my holly hocks and herbs safe since it's installation.

Moving on around the house, we come to the other front corner.  You can see how the flower bed wraps around the house, protecting flowers and shrubs from the evil lawn mowers.  Since this picture was taken, I have removed the holly hocks from the side bed and replaced them with herbs.
This is just another shot of the front, with blueberry bushes to the far left and a couple dogwood areas.
This is a final shot of the dining room, looking into the living room and down the hallway after the hardwood flooring was installed.

Yes, that is a Dyson behind the chair, and that is one of my most prized possessions!  I love that sweeper.
