Lace, ribbed textures and beads combine for the look of tartan plaid in these handsome calf-high socks topped with a spiffy Scotch garter (optional).  375 yards fingering sock weight yarn, size 1 US knitting needles for 8 stitches per inch over stockinette stitch.  Socks are knit in the round.  Models were made using Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Yarns.
