Now In: About Us
This shop is operated and run by Mary Ellen. She wears many hats in the course of a "typical" week. Not only does she hold down a full-time job as a registered dietitian at a dialysis center, she also shepherds her flock of Shetland sheep, runs this shop, serves as carpool operator for her children (and sometimes their friends), and plans/executes major household renovation projects.

The farm serves as a place where Great Pyrenees dogs placed in rescue can be tested for their livestock protection skills. It is the rare day you would visit and not see at least 1 rescue present. Other animals calling the farm "home" are chickens, ducks, geese, German angora rabbits, angora and cashmere goats, 2 alpacas, 3 Border Collies, 1 Anatolian/Pyr cross (she is our livestock protection dog) and 1 Great Pyr rescue (also named Maggie), 8 cats, and 3 tanks of tropical fish.

Mary Ellen is married to a delightful mechanical engineer from Sweden and has 2 boys aged 16 and 18. The 18 year old is driving, and if she didn't already have enough gray hairs to make her "naturally frosty", this event alone would serve to create that halo. The 16 year old competes in many Special Olympic activities and is starting to want to drive---ARGHHH.

Mary Ellen is active in her church, serving as lay leader, and sometime pianist.

If you call and don't get an answer immediately, keep these points in mind. She will get back with you as soon as she has her hands out of whatever other messes or activities she is currently involved in. Don't forget to leave your phone number and a brief description of your question(s).
